RIP Tupac, 15 years since he passed away

Today is the 15th anniversary of Tupac Shakur passing away. He was just 25 when he died on September 13th 1996. Although he only lived a short life, which at times was controversial, Tupac has left the legacy of his music for hip hop fans. He also was an actor and starred in six movies including 'Juice' his first & most famous movie role where he played Bishop. Songs like 'Brendas Got A Baby', 'Keep Ya Head Up' and 'Dear Mama' are socially conscious which showed that behind his tough exterior, Tupac, to quote a lyric from 'Keep Ya Head Up', "Tupac cares...". His mom Afeni has kept Tupac's legacy alive too with the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation which provides opportunities for young people interested in the arts. This is just a brief overview of Tupac's life & career and there are many books, DVDs and also his albums which tell the story of one of Hip Hop's most memorable and talented artists.

I saw something on MSN early this morning about him and of course now can't find it.

While I may not like his music for the most part etc he made an impact and his legacy is still showing the impact he had and the influence he has with new acts

I guess via new technology he showed up at Coachella music festival this past weekend
