Re: The Wrestling topic
It would seem the mentality is we make you, so we own you based on what I read. Hence the reason very few use their real names and why a lot have odd names is because then should they leave etc the e still owns the rights to stage name etc

Re: The Wrestling topic
That is a good reason to have adjusted names when you sign on.

Re: The Wrestling topic
Makes some sense but on the other hand you have to wonder why its that important to the E that they own a stage name etc for you

Re: The Wrestling topic
I think its more of control and we made you stars etc issue then anything else. That and the E doesn't lot folks to have success outside of them, which is the only reason for movie division of the E to even exist and most of the movies have sucked

Re: The Wrestling topic
I did say most, though in my book all sucked even The Marine which is the only one I've even seen, though think it was sightly more successful then the sequel.
That said since twitter is fubar I'm off to dinner

Re: The Wrestling topic
Possible taker WM match information
Source
As WrestleZone exclusively reported a few weeks ago, there are several options right now regarding plans for The Undertaker at Wrestlemania.
One option quickly being taken off the table in WWE is a match with Kane, as even Vince McMahon noticed the distinct lack of crowd interest in the Undertaker/Kane Hell in a Cell Match on Sunday night.
"Vince is the world's biggest Undertaker mark," a top level WWE source told us this evening, "but he's a bigger mark for Wrestlemania, and he's not going to jeopardize the show because of his fondness for the Undertaker character."
There are still discussions for Taker to wrestle Sheamus, and it was even brought up in a meeting with the writers today that Vince would consider Taker vs a heel John Cena with Taker's undefeated streak on the line.
We will keep you updated as this major story develops.

Re: The Wrestling topic

JWoww Down for a Little TNA ... Wrestling
If JWoww is looking for a fight ...
JWoww is gonna get a fight -- TMZ has learned the "Jersey Shore" starlet has just signed a deal with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
Sources close to the deal tell us JWoww -- real name Jenni Farley -- just signed a one-night deal to appear on Spike TV's "TNA impact!" on Thursday.
We're told JWoww doesn't have a match scheduled ... but she'll "probably be mixing it up" with a couple of "Jersey Shore"-alike wrestlers named Robbie E. and Cookie.
But JWoww ain't doin' the wrestling thing for free -- we're told she's pulling in a cool $15 grand for the night ... and the two sides are working out a deal to get her to come back to the show.
... and to think, Snooki didn't get a dime when she got hit on television.

Re: The Wrestling topic
Reading other thoughts on another board in regards to last nights Raw and y2j said the following or so the posters says
Two thoughts from Chris Jericho on last night's Raw.
The difference between Jim Ross and Michael Cole is the difference between Paul Newman and Paulie Shore.
Rowdy Roddy Piper is the Yoda of promos.

Yep and piper works too as he made the title match that for the most part been kind of boring as far as build etc seem really important, much like yoda would do

That he does as Piper still seems entertaining after all these years.
